Lucknow University Entrance Exam Pattern 2021

The entrance exam will consist of 100 questions related to Forensic Science only.

Duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.

Marking Scheme:4 marks will be provided for each correct response.

Negative Marking:1 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.

The questions related to Forensic Science only are asked in the examination. As there is no syllabus given by the university, students will have to focus on all of the basic details about forensic science.

Tips for Acing Lucknow University Entrance Exam 2021

Here are some important points to consider if you are preparing for Lucknow University Entrance exam.

Go through your bachelor’s notes thoroughly, if you’re from B.Sc Forensic Science. (If you’re not, try to read books like Forensic Science in Crime Investigation by B.S. Nabar, Forensic Science: From the Crime Scene to the Crime Lab by Richard Saferstein)
Gather knowledge about all the branches of forensic science, what all evidences we get and which techniques or test we use on those evidences. (For example- In forensic serology we deal with the biological fluids. Let’s take blood as an example of biological fluid that we are dealing with. Which preliminary test we conduct to determine the given evidence is blood? If we get positive results in preliminary examination then which confirmatory test we conduct? Which test helps us to determine the species origin? Which test helps us to determine the blood groups?)
A lot of questions were asked from Anthropology, ballistics and fingerprints last year. So, it is advisable to give more focus on these subjects a little more than others.
