1.Senior Scientific Officer(Ballistics) (OBC-01).
The post is temporary but likely to be continued indefinitely.
Age: 38* years.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL: Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the **relevant field. Note: **Experience in the relevant field means Research/Analytical experience in the field of Ballistics/Physics.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. .
DUTIES: The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development.
2. Senior Scientific Officer(Biology) (OBC-02)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL: Master’s Degree in Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Human Biology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or MolecularBiology or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University.
EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or
equivalent.

depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities

3.Senior Scientific Officer(Chemistry) (OBC-02)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL: Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University.
EXPERIENCE: Five years experience in the field of Chemistry or Toxicology.
DESIRABLE: (i) Doctorate Degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Three years experience in FSL/CFSLs.
DUTIES: The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development.
4. Senior Scientific Officer(Documents) (OBC-02)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAL: Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry or Computer Science or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry or Forensic Science or Computer Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate Degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.

5.Senior Scientific Officer(Lie-Detection)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL: Master’s Degree in Psychology or Criminology from a recognized University or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Three years Research/Analytical experience in Applied Psychology or Criminology/Crime Investigation.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate Degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
DUTIES: The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to
depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities
attached with the posts also require research and development.
APPLICATION FEE
(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by
remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI
or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is
available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
