NHRC Online Short Term Internship Programme

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is now inviting applications for its prestigious two-week Online Short Term Internship Programme scheduled for May 13 to May 23, 2025. This full-time internship will run from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday). Interested students are advised to apply only if they can commit to the full-time schedule.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are open to students across India who meet the following conditions:

Students in the 3rd year and above of an integrated 5-year PG course
Students in the 3rd or final year of any undergraduate course
Students enrolled in any year/semester of a postgraduate degree or PG diploma
Research scholars from any academic discipline
Applicants must be 28 years or younger as of January 1, 2025

Academic Requirement:
A minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and in all subsequent academic courses is mandatory. Students must clearly mention their percentage (converted from CGPA/SGPA) and also include the formula used for conversion. Failure to do so will result in application rejection.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online via the official NHRC portal. Incomplete applications or those lacking the required documents will be rejected.

Documents Required

Statement of Purpose (SoP):
A 250-word write-up titled “Statement of Purpose for joining NHRC Online Short Term Internship” (submitted with the application; used for selection).
Academic Records:
Self-attested scanned copies of marksheets from Class XII onwards, including all semesters/years of the current course.
Recommendation Letter:
Scanned letter/email in the prescribed format from the Head of Department/Dean/Principal.

Perks & Certification

A stipend of ₹2000 will be awarded to all interns upon successful completion.
Interns will receive a certificate of participation, evaluated on:
- Attendance, punctuality, and discipline
- Participation in online sessions
- Timely submission of Project Presentation, Project Report, and Book Review
