Maharashtra Home Minister, Shri Dilip Walse-Patel visited Forensic Science Laboratory at Nagpur yesterday and expressed his idea of providing internship with stipend to UG, PG students studying Forensic Science.
On 8th of December-2021, the Maharashtra cabinet declared that as per the decision, 150 UG and PG students from Maharashtra state’s Institute of Forensic Sciences at Nagpur, Aurangabad and Mumbai will be hired as interns on the basis of scholarship for a period of one year in various laboratories under Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratories within the state.
UG students will get Rs. 10,000 and PG students will get Rs. 15,000 as stipend for one year. The students will be selected and sent by Forensic institutes to the laboratories and they will be assigned to perform duties and tasks of Scientific Assistant (Group C) and Scientific Assistant
(cyber crime) of Group C.
The students will get a certificate from Directorate of Forensic Science laboratories upon completion of internship.
