The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun invites applications from Indian nationals for various positions under the project entitled “Wildlife Forensic and Conservation Genetics (WFCG) Cell” purely on a contractual basis.
The position is purely coterminous basis with the completion/termination of the project and the candidate shall not claim any regular position in the WII after the termination of the position/project or while working on the project.
Details of the position, along with essential and desirable qualifications and a brief description of the work, are given below:
Post: Forensic Technician (2)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences & Forensic Science with minimum 50% aggregate
marks.
Age limit: 35 Years (admissible age relaxation will be given for reserve category candidates).
Desirable Qualification: One-year experience working in a forensic laboratory. Preference will be
given to the candidate who will have working analytical knowledge in a forensic laboratory with
working computer knowledge.
Duration of project: One year (likely to be extended)
Consolidated Wages: Rs. 25,000/- per month.
Job responsibility: To take up supporting role in developing forensic analysis tools and to assist in
the activities of the WFCG Cell under the supervision of the Nodal Officer, WFCG Cell.
