The notification for admission for the year in various courses for M.Sc has been released by Delhi University. If you are willing to secure admission in M.Sc in forensic science from D.U., fill in the application before 4 July 2020.

D.U. Admission 2020 For M.Sc Forensic Science

The Department of Anthropology, Delhi University runs M.Sc Forensic Science in D.U. since 2015. The Masters in forensic science is a two year programme with four semesters.

Eligibility for Admissions

B.Sc. (Hons.)/B.Sc. in any Branch of Science with 55% or above marks in aggregate or equivalent grade

Seats

Total Number of seats in M. Sc. Forensic Science Course is 46.

Further Distribution of Seats as per the Category is given below.

1. General – 27 Seats
2. SC- 7 Seats
3. ST – 3 Seats
4. OBC – 12 Seats

How To Apply

Step 1: Register

First time user, needs to register on the portal. On submission of details, a confirmation link is generated on the given e-mail ID.

Step 2: Login

You have to click on the link and login using the username and password generated.
You can also login using registered mobile number and OTP.

Step 3: Fill application form

To fill the Application form, you have to fill in the below given details:

Personal details
Academic details
Mode of admission section – merit / entrance / sports / ECA

Step 4: Upload the scanned documents

All the applicable scanned documents must be uploaded to complete the application process.
All documents must be as per the specifications mentioned.

Step 5: Pay the application fee

The last step is to pay the application fee.
The application fee can be paid in the online mode only. There is no offline provision to pay the fee.

Documents to be uploaded in online application form of DU PG admission 2020:

• Passport size photograph of the applicant
• Signature of the applicant
• Self -Attested Class X certificate / marksheet
• Self-Attested Class XII marksheet
• Self-attested copy of SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD / KM / CW certificate, if applicable
• Self-attested copies of Sports and / or ECA certificates, if applicable
• ID Card (Adhaar Card / Voter‘s Identity Card / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License)

Selection Procedure

Admission to M.Sc Forensic Science in D.U. is through Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). The entrance exam syllabus and format will be shared in a separate post. But to give you a brief idea ;

M.Sc. Forensic Science Exam Pattern

Admission in M.Sc. Forensic Science is based on the written test exam i.e. DUET conducted by the University of Delhi.

1. There will be 100 questions.
2. All the questions will be of Multiple choices.
3. For every incorrect response, there will be a negative marking.
4. Maximum marks will be 400.
5. For each correct answer, the candidate will get 4 marks.

Questions will be asked on Basic Forensic Science topics, Criminal Law and Criminology, Psychology, Fingerprints, Forensic Chemistry and Biology, Questioned Documents, Ballistics, Toxicology, Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Medicine, Forensic Serology and DNA.
