Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has advertised for a vacancy of Assistant Director (Ballistics) for Unreserved category candidate.
Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational-
Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent*
Note M. Sc. (Applied Physics) may be taken as equivalent*.
B. Experience–
5 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the **relevant field.
Note ** Experience in relevant field means Research/Analytical experience in the field of Ballistics/Physics.
Pay Scale
As per 7th CPC- Level-11 (Rs. 67700 – 208700/-) in the Pay Matrix (Revised). (Pre-Revised PB-3 of Rs. 15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay of Rs 6600/-) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 67700/- plus DA as applicable per month.)
Age
Not exceeding 40 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Duties
The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development.
Probation
One (01) year.
