Advertisement for appointment of one Junior Cyber Forensic Consultant under
the project Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children (CCPWC) is published by Assam Police.
Under the project ‘Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children’ sponsored by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. (a) Assam Police set up a Cyber Forensic Laboratory cum Training Centre at CID HQ, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati. (b) It is proposed that the service of a competent and experienced Junior Cyber Forensic Consultant may be hired for the implementation of the project.
NAME OF POST:
Junior Cyber Forensic Consultant.
NUMBER OF POST: 1 (one)
SALARY: 1 Lakh per month
LOCATION: CID HQ, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati-781007.
Eligibility
(a) Minimum Educational Qualification: Master degree in cyber/digital/computer forensic or cyber
forensic and information security or computer science or information technology or computer
applications or physics with electronics as one of the subject from a recognized university
Or
Bachelor degree in engineering/ technology in computer science or information technology or
computer science and engineering or electronics engineering from a recognized university. (b) 2 (two) years work experience with Government/ PSU/ Corporate in the field of cyber/
digital/computer and mobile forensics or digital investigation. 7. DESIRABLE (at least any one)
(a) Certified examiner of cyber/digital/computer forensics by any recognized agency approved by theMEITY, Govt. of India.
Relevant experience
(i) Search and seizure techniques of cyber forensic evidences. (ii) Handling, labeling and packaging of cyber forensic evidence materials. (iii) Data acquisition/ extraction, examination, analysis and report generation using different hardware and software tools of cyber forensic examination. (iv) To impart training, demonstration, hands on practical, preparation of training
materials/SOPs, etc. to field police officers/IOs and law enforcement agencies. (v) Research and development activities in cyber forensics.
Work experience in any law enforcement establishment or Central/ State Forensic Science
Laboratory. (vii) Social media analysis and mobile forensics
Maximum Age Limit (as on the date of appointment) :
Not more than 45 years
Languages
a) Speak: Hindi, English, Assamese
b) Write: Hindi, English
c) Read: Hindi, English, Assamese
Proficiency in writing in local language Assamese is preferable.
Scope of the Service
a) Handling installation of tools/software, b) Conducting training sessions to Police officers, prosecution/judicial officer on cyber crime investigation, digital evidence and cyber forensic etc. c) Conduct awareness and workshop on cyber forensic and cyber security, d) Preparation of training calendar
e) Preparation of strategic plan for prevention of cyber crimes, f) Review overall project implementation of Cyber Forensic Lab cum Training Centre, g) Operationalization and maintenance of Lab. h) Progress presentation, i) IT Security Management, j) Evaluating and monitoring the performance of trainees, k) Providing refresher training periodically, l) Physical and logical data extraction of digital device seized by CID and digital device send by
district for data extraction, m) Providing assistance to I/O in investigation of IT Act. cases, n) Providing assistance to I/O technically in investigation of cases, o) The consultant shall act as the Cyber Forensic Official and Security Consultant to the Department, who shall integrate, plan, successfully implement and deliver all Cyber Forensic/Security related
activities for the department for the period of one year. 12. WORKING HOURS: As per Government of Assam norms. 13. LEAVE: 12 (Twelve) days of Casual Leave will be admissible during one year.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
a) Recruitment for the above post will be on co-terminus basis.
b) The department will not be liable to convert it into regular posts.
c) There will be no scope for regularization in the Government service.
d) The appointment will be for an initial period of one year and thereafter the appropriate
authority/committee will consider further extension only on the basis of satisfactory performance and
availability of funds.
e) The employee will be terminated automatically at the end of the engagement period unless
extended by the Government.
f) If any person wants to resign, he/she can leave after giving one month’s notice to the controlling
officer or he/she will have to forfeit one month’s salary.
g) The person cannot claim pensionary benefits.
h) Controlling officer at his discretion may terminate the contract after giving one month’s notice or
salary in lieu without assigning any reason for termination.
