We have been receiving your queries regarding NICFS entrance exam for this academic year regarding it’s affiliation, exam pattern, how to prepare, best books etc.
Writing this post with the purpose of clearing the air about NICFS , GFSU and NFSU from this year on. Hope it will answer most of your doubts.
The National Forensic Sciences University Act has recently been introduced in 2020, with an objective of establishing a new forensic sciences university in the country by merging two existing institutes. According to Section 4 (1) of the Act, βthe Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat established under the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University Act, 2008, and the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, New Delhi shall be established as an University by the name of National Forensic Sciences University.β The campus of the new university will include both the campuses in New Delhi and Gujarat.
LNJN National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, which was earlier affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and was considered one of the leading institutes of forensic science in India, will now simply be referred to as the Delhi campus of NFSU.
However, any student pursuing any academic or research course in LNJN NICFS will be allowed to continue and complete their academic courses/ programmes under the enrolment and affiliation of GGSIPU, Delhi.
NFSU has been given the status of an Institution of National Importance, being one of the only universities dedicated to forensic, behavioral, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and allied Sciences.
Its main objective is to train as well as promote studies and research in the field of forensic and related sciences in order to fulfil the acute shortage against the increasing demand for forensic experts in the country and around the world.
So, from this year on there will be just one entrance exam by NFSU for both its campus.

Exam Pattern for NFSU
Most probably * the syllabus for entrance exam would remain the same as that of GFSU. There will be 150 questions from Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Aptitude and Basic Physics, Chemistry, Biology and little bit of Math.
Duration of the exam would be 1 hour .
*In case of any change in the exam pattern, we will update you through our website ,Telegram and on Instagram.
