Applications are invited for World Bank Internship Program 2024 (Summer). The Bank Internship Program (BIP) provides exposure to the World Bank’s mission and work, allowing individuals to bring new perspectives and ideas into the organization.
Eligibility: Candidates need an undergraduate degree and enrollment in a full-time graduate study program (master’s or Ph.D.). No age limit.
Language Skills: Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, or Chinese is desirable.
Internship Fields: Available in development operations and various business units like Human Resources, Communications, Accounting, etc.
How to Apply: Submit applications by 11:59 PM UTC on January 31. Include CV, Statement of Interest, and proof of enrollment in a graduate degree program.
Application Checklist: Use supported browsers, ensure a stable internet connection, and complete the application within 90 minutes.
File Formats: Upload documents in .doc, .docx, or .pdf formats, with each file not exceeding 5 MB.
Stipend: Interns receive an hourly salary, and, if applicable, a travel expense allowance of up to USD 3,000. Accommodations are the responsibility of the interns.
Selection Process: Qualified applicants’ profiles are shared with interested WB units. After interviews, selections are made, and the new cohort begins in early May.
Location: Most intern positions are in Washington, DC, with a few in WB country offices.
