One of the most important roles of a forensic anthropologist is to assist in the identification of human skeletal remains. Whether the collected fragment is bone or not, whether it is human or animal bone, etc. Macroscopic, microscopic and chemical methods can be employed to discriminate between human and non human bone.
In this presentation, I have tried to include most of the macroscopic features that can distinguish the bone regarding its human or non-human origin.
